Do you know a young person who would like to perform on the Kings Theatre stage? Join us this summer for a spectacular youth production! Register from Friday 15th April.

The Fairytale Forest | Ages 4 – 11 | 30th July 2022 | £75*

Come and join us in the Fairytale Forest, where you will find all your best loved heroes and villains! A retelling of famous fairytales and stories, featuring magical songs and dance! Fun for all the family, no matter if you’re a Red Riding Hood, a Fairy Godmother or a Papa Bear!

Registration closes on Friday 17th June 2022.

Rehearsals take place on Saturdays starting 18th June 2022. Participants must be available the week commencing 25th July. Further details on the rehearsal schedule are available on request kyt@kingsportsmouth.co.uk

A Midsummer Night’s Dream | Ages 11 – 18 | 4th – 6th August 2022 | £180*

A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows the story of lovestruck friends, mischievous fairies and a talking donkey! Hermia and Lysander plan to elope and escape to the forest, where they are pursued by Helena and Demetrius. When the fairies’ cast their meddling spells, a twist of fate falls upon all those in the forest. Watch the joyful chaos unfold in this hilarious tale of love, friendship, mischief and magic. You will be left wondering – was it all a dream? If you are looking to gain experience exploring Shakespeare through acting, movement and song – now is your chance! Perfect for those studying, GCSE and A Level, or applying for Higher Education.

We have a limited number of bursaries available which will be allocated on a means-tested, first-come first-serve basis. Show photos that have been taken with consent will be held on record by the Kings Theatre and may be used for further archival and promotional reasons from time to time, even after the child has left the youth theatre. By signing this form, you are consenting to these show & rehearsal images & performance videos being kept within our theatre archive.
