The Kings Theatre is a registered charity (1088254) and we rely on the fundraising support of our audiences, our friends, individuals, corporate sponsors, and charitable foundations.

The Kings Theatre has held a special place in the hearts of many for over 100 years. We hear countless stories about patrons visiting the theatre as a child and the joy of seeing their first live performance on our beautiful stage.
We intend to continue making memories for generations to come and would be honoured if you chose to add a legacy of your own.
How we can help
Inheritance Tax & Charitable Donations
The Kings Theatre is a registered charity. Because of this, there are benefits to you leaving a legacy for us. You can reduce the taxable value of your assets and thereby decrease the amount of inheritance tax due on your estate by leaving a legacy to a charity.
Further assistance and wording for your will
If you already have a will, a simple change can be made by adding a codicil. We advise that the wording you choose be carefully reviewed by you and your solicitor in the context of your will.
Planning for your future
Making a will is one of the most important things that you can do to ensure that your loved ones will be taken care of and that your possessions are distributed according to your wishes. As the Theatre grows and develops, it would be wonderful to know that there are people waiting in the wings to support us, individuals who have seen the value of leaving a legacy for future generations to enjoy.
If you are a UK taxpayer, for every £1 you donate the theatre will receive an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue and Customs, at no additional cost to you or your sponsors. This means that a £10 donation will be worth £12.50 and for every £50 gift, we will receive £62.50.
