Although the curtain is down at the moment we are busy making plans to raise it and welcome you back. The programming engine continues to purr away as we plan for the lead up to Christmas and 2021.

I am delighted to announce that the BBC Big Band are coming to perform two spectacular concerts. The first is Wednesday 4 November, where the BBC Big Band will be presenting The Sound of the Cinema – a spectacular concert featuring some of the greatest movie sound-tracks of all time, and even better they will be joined by internationally renowned guest vocalist Emer McParland. And then on Tuesday 10 November we’d love you to join us and the BBC Big Band for a VE Day 75th Anniversary Concert. A very special event inspired by the war years and commemorating all those that lived through these times, the band will be playing the music which provided the backdrop to this momentous period of our history.
