The Kings School of Performing Arts proudly presents their Academy’s Storytelling Series! Comprised of musical adaptations of brilliant books, enjoy a wonderous world of characters and creativity.
This performance holds two stories:
Nim’s Island Adapted from the book by Wendy Orr Performed by Years 7 – 9 On an island in the middle of nowhere, Nim and her father are joined by scientists looking to research biofuels. Unknown to them, things are not quite as they seem, and not everyone has the island’s best intentions in mind. Will Nim and her friends be able to save the island in time, or will greed and power win?
Crooked House Adapted from the book by Agatha Christie Performed by Years 10 – 13 When the wealthy Aristide Leonides is found dead, his granddaughter, Sophia, believes murder is on the cards. Her lover, Charles Hayward, looks to solve the case with his father, a detective for Scotland Yard. Unravelling familial complications, an illicit love affair, financial greed and hidden secrets, the Crooked House holds more suspense and deceit than most family households. Will this mystery resolve or will Charles and Sophia become entangled in the web of lies and chaos too?
