Calling all English GCSE students, teachers and literature lovers!
Dickens Theatre Company proudly presents Macbeth, Shakespeare’s bloodiest tragedy, arriving at Kings Theatre in March 2027.
In this inventive adaptation, Shakespeare’s Chorus becomes our narrator, guiding audiences through the tangled web of ambition, betrayal and dark prophecy with engaging modern verse. Performed by an ensemble of just six actors, this fast-paced, text-faithful production brings the Scottish Play vividly to life through dynamic multi-rolling performance.
Set against a backdrop of war, witchery and treason, Macbeth remains chillingly relevant in the 21st century.
“What’s done cannot be undone!”
Part of DTC’s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour programme (alongside Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and A Christmas Carol), this accessible Macbeth is specifically designed to support GCSE English study while remaining entertaining for all audiences.
All matinee performances also include the option to stay for a free 20-minute post-show Q&A with the cast and director, a hugely popular addition for school groups, giving students the chance to ask questions, deepen their understanding of the text and explore the production further.
