The Kings Youth Theatre (KYT) has proudly been running for over ten years, with hundreds of young people attending weekly sessions and performing in large scale productions. KYT is open to members from 2 to 18 and is for anyone who wants to discover new skills, make friends, build confidence and have lots of fun!
Groups explore a wide range of theatre, developing their skillset through group games and exercises led by professional theatre practitioners. Each group will also have sessions in dance and singing exploring different styles and genres in order to develop their skillset further.
Infants explore the performing arts through theatre games, exercises and activities. The perfect introduction to theatre, a great way to learn and develop new skills, build self-confidence and make friends in a safe and positive environment.
The Juniors group is centred around developing performance and social skills. Participants unlock their creativity through drama, voice and movement, whilst building their self-confidence and exploring themselves and their relationship with the world around them in a safe, positive and enriching environment.
Intermediates have the opportunity to participate in the process of making theatre; build a foundation of knowledge in various stage techniques, including working with scripts, devising, singing and movement.
If you are aged 13 or Over from October 31st 2022, join us for the National Theatre Connections Festival 2023! Become a valuable member of an ensemble, explore drama technique, rehearse and work together to bring a brand-new play to the stage!
Theatre Tots is an introduction to drama for 2-4 year old’s, focusing on storytelling and sensory engagement. Parents and guardians are required to accompany their child to each class which is led by an experienced early years practitioner.
