Community Events

We offer many different events in and around the theatre for all to enjoy.

There are a number of tours available within the theatre, we currently run: 

History Tours – Step behind the scenes and see our iconic theatre from a new perspective! 
Ghost Tours – Explore the theatre at night! Are you brave enough? 
Toddler Tours – An interactive tour for the little ones! 
Technical Tours – Discover the methods and magic behind our magnificent productions! 
School Tours – Experience learning in a unique and distinctive environment that will inspire and engage!

Summer School

We also run fabulous summer schools that allow children to have an intensive week at the theatre learning how to put on a production behind the scenes and on the stage. From page to stage in a week! 

Kings Community Sing

Every Friday we have a friendly, open and fun group-singing initiative perfect for ages 18+ and al singing abilities. Meet new people, enjoy a range of exciting and varied songs and enjoy a complimentary tea/coffee.

The weekly sessions are £1.50 (pay as you go), 9-10.30am. The group will be held in our Stalls, which is fully accessible and can be found on Albert Road.

Coffee Mornings

Every Wednesday we run coffee mornings in our beautiful Stalls bar, from 10-12pm;

1st Wednesday Coffee & Crafts  – bring along your latest project, get tips and advice and of course enjoy a bit of natter! Supported by Seeded.
2nd Wednesday Coffee & Cards  – time for ‘fun & games’ – cards, draughts, chess and more or why not bring along your favourite game!
3rd Wednesday Coffee & Chapters – Let’s chat about the latest books we’re all reading, what we’d recommend to others, favourite authors and much more!
4th Wednesday Coffee & Conversation – A variety of talks and discussions! Please see below.

22nd Feb ‘Fostering February’ – ‘’Come along meet Fostering Solution South. They’ll be talking about the role of fostering in our community, why children come into care & some of the ways we can all support vulnerable children in out day to day lives. ‘’
